As nowadays singing bowls are using as part of sound therapy or vibrational sound healing, as the sound frequencies will slow down the brain waves thus calm down the thoughts and inducing relaxation state.

Singing bowls have seven notes similar to musical notes and vibrate for 7 chakras healing, the identification of singing bowl note related to the sound that produces from each bowl while the identification of each note to each chakra base on vibrational practice of each school of training.

From my background of using and training on singing bowls therapy and assisting on selecting the healing bowls to my students in the past 10 years, I would like to share my experience base on chakra and singing bowl musical note as following:

Singing Bowls Usage:

  • Introducing one bowl for relaxation prior starting treatment as sound ritual, would highly recommend to use Heart or Solar Plexus bowl or D or G and using vibration with drumstick which produce subtle sound for deep relaxation rather than striker stick. Heart or solar plexus are considering as the center of the body, which you can use one bowl with good quality and the sound will easily vibrate and bring harmony the rest of chakras.
  • For 3 bowls, to balance body, mind and spiritual energies, by using Root, Crown and Solar plexus bowls or F-B-G
  • For 4 bowls, to harmony the energy, consider using Root, Crown, Heart and Solar plexus bowls or F-B-D-G
  • For 7 bowls, for completed healing as opening and closing chakra, this is required a proper training to enhancing physical and mental of therapist to perform a treatment.
  • Using leather striker stick is good to distraction the physical and mental energy, and very good to practice meditation while the drumsticks provide the for a subtle sound and a good vibration for healing and for singing bowls healing it is not just about the sound but rather that the frequencies of vibration thus vibrating water tide or circulatory system within the body. And the completed healing of 7 chakra bowls it produce to subtle filed similar to magnetic or vibration chamber around the body.

The happiness and inner peace is within our heart and soul. Since we are all seeking that happiness and inner peace, let’s practice some simple techniques to help us on this journey:

  • Finding your own space: Find a quiet and comfortable space at home that gives you some privacy. Lie down on a mat, listen to relaxing background music of your choice, burn some incense or diffuse your choice of essential oil. Start with deep breathing and exhale slowly, as breathe slowly, you are also slowing down your thoughts and brain waves.
  • Conscious Breathing: Once the breathing is on a smooth rhythm, start taking deep breaths and hold them until you slowly allow the air to pass through the tensed area within the body in a relaxing way. Do not force the breathing, then slowly release as you exhale. This will help identify the tense area and slowly release muscle tension.
  • Falling in love with your own heart: Take deep breaths, hold it and start connecting with your heart. Once you have located your heart on the left upper chest, then smile to your heart. Repeat this at least 10 times or more. The heart is a positive energy source for our body and mind, once your heart is open you are recharged with vitality.
  • Circulating your happiness: Taking a deep breath, hold it and visualise the air travelling from your nose up to the crown then going down along the spinal column, to the coccyx area and then flowing up to abdominal, chest and nose. For this practice, always begin with visualisation, and you shall connect to the source of energy at a later state. Repeat 10 times.

  • Getting to know your peace: Start with smiling down to your heart, then extend the smile and radiate happiness from your heart to all the cells in your body, from left -side to right-side and top to toes. In comparison, your body is similar to a company where all the cells are represented as a team member, each day you are taking your time to greet and meet all of them with a happy smile.

Sound Healing is an effective and proven modality that uses vibrational (frequency) of sound to help reduce stress, alter consciousness and create a deep sense of peace, well being.

In modern medicine, we are currently use sound frequencies for diagnosis as ultrasound to help detecting the abnormality. Sound as frequency or vibration that influences the water element throughout the body, thus mainly the circulatory system and generate a better vibration.

During our waking state, the normal frequency of our brain waves is that of Beta. Will classical massage catching the physical tension in this modern day?

From my working experience as holistic health practitioner, I have found nowadays people do have more and more physical tension, and it is not easily to releasing with the classical massage, especially the tension around neck and shoulder. And even you have tried to work at deeper level, the clients are response as pain and resistant to the massage, therapist is very exhausted as try to releasing the knots and tension. This is allowed the coming of the body –works that try to utilize the multi skills to guide the client into relaxation state thus allow the physical to relax, mental is letting go.

Where are the cause of the tension, in the past we were walking a lot, and traditional massage start from your feet, now the lifestyle has changed we are now thinking lots more with static posture, so the cause of the physical tension starting from not enough circulation and thought thus manifest into physical tension.

Once you visit the spa for a massage, you do feel relax during the massage and at later state the tension is back, some of you may feel relax as the body is heavy so you are ready to lying down as the toxin is start moving out from the body.

However, having massaged with the body-worker you may experience emotion release, clarity and lighter after the session. As I mentioned that now the cause of physical is now changing, as it is more on energy and mental level, so we are all need to be aware to how to address at the root of the problem.

And for the therapists are require to have more understanding the lifestyle of this modern days, and able to perform multi-skills to help your clients to overcome the tension with your Healing hand.

Becoming a healing Hand, the therapist is required more skills on breathing technique, energy work, relaxation and counseling technique to be able to manage the demand in near future.

 

 

Reiki – The Healing Touch

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique to tap into the Universal Life Energy and use it to heal and balance living beings; a tool for personal transformation, growth and change.

 

Every single thing including ourselves are made up of Energy.  This means we are all part of the whole.  We are all one.  Connecting to this energy has always been available to human beings, we have just forgotten how.  When you decide to take Reiki it’s as if you say yes, “help me remember”

The reason I decided on Reiki is, it is a non-intrusive, non Religious Healing Energy.  The main difference between Reiki and other Healing Methods is the Attunements and of course you do not have to mentally concentrate while doing Reiki.  Just place your hands on the person and see the light switch come on in your mind. The energy will just flow naturally.  With Reiki you just connect to the Universal Energy with the intent to Heal and Protect..

Reiki Energy helps to support your own natural healing ability. It can be used for many ailments like reducing stress, relieving pain, headaches, stomach upsets, back problems, asthma – respiratory problems, PMT, menstrual problems, sinus, anxiety and manymore. It clears the negative energy within the body working from the inside out.  It also clears any blocks within the system, helping you to have a clear calm mind and able to function at a higher level.

Finding a Reiki Master is not difficult, just ask your friends or find someone who has done Reiki or had a treatment.  Once you make contact with the Reiki Healer book in for a session. Go with your first impression, it will help you make your decision.  Prepare and ask as many questions as you need.  See if you feel comfortable in their company. Only in this way will you be confidant in your choice.

Once you decide to take the first step to “Reiki 1“ you will not be disappointed.  The Attunement which is carried out during the workshop opens up your channels to the Universal Healing Energy  While participating in the Workshop you will feel the heat develop in your hands especially while you practice the hand movements on others. This is the Energy naturally flowing through you.  It is only as you practice with family and friends that you find yourself opening to the Energy.. It is a great journey of self discovery and helping others

Please note Reiki should never be used instead of medical treatment.  It should be used as a compliment and a way to become and remain healthy

Your journey of unwinding

Once you have experienced the massage with Healing Hands, your muscle tension will relax, allowing the mind to calm down and body to relax.  Some people may experience a little discomfort after the massage.  This is due to the body slowly releasing tension.  As the whole body is treated it takes time for the tension to be released.  We would recommend you also repeat the massage the next day, but to gain full benefit from the treatment, repeating it daily would bring harmony to your body and mind. Having the daily massage helps to quiet the busy mind and prevent the tension from building up in your body.  As mind and body are interconnected, once the mind is at peace the tension in the body lets go.

A good example is “ Your body is the Car and your Mind is the Driver”  So if the mind does not stop the body keeps going.  During your time while have the treatment your breathing slows down, this enables the mind to calm down and with the therapist working through your body the tension will be released.

What is your expectation from therapist?   They are able to identify the body tension area, and release the tensions, the expressway to release tension is to synchronize the breathing between the client and the therapist, this allows them to deeply unwind the muscle tension on the exhale.  It is also very important to help the client’s mind let go, each therapist can use various techniques that suit their personality, either guided meditation, healing hands or mind training.

Working with client’s mind is another way to be able to relax their mind and let go of their tension. Skilled therapists are able to identify the tension area through body vibration and at the same time are able to understand client ‘s state of mind by conversation.
